Geography & Earthquakes

While reviewing the resources for an online course I designed, I ran across the NEIC: Near Real Time Earthquake List. It’s useful when I want a quick read on seismic activity anywhere on the planet.

It also sharpens geography. Each event is pinned to a map and tagged with a region name from the Flinn-Engdahl (F-E) seismic and geographical regionalization scheme. The scheme ignores political borders and follows the ground instead.
