Facets & Topic Maps

You can have a faceted organization of concepts in a topic map, but don’t confuse the topic map standard’s use of the word facet with faceted classification. For some reason, the standard introduced the term facet with a completely different meaning.

Topic Maps: an overview” by Philip C. Murray, explains the different definitions of the term. He also outlines the more traditional relationships and which of these are possible with topic maps.

Speaking of facets, I finally perfected the MT template for my xfml output.
